Dr. Amy McMaster Hawes is an expert in medico-legal death investigation. She has at least 13 years of experience in forensic pathology, including serving as Chief Medical Examiner of Nashville/Davidson County, Tennessee and as Deputy Tennessee State Medical Examiner. Dr. Hawes is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic, clinical, and forensic Pathology. She is an invited lecturer in many topics of forensic pathology including basic and advanced death investigation, infant and child death investigation, drug overdose and drug-related deaths, mass-fatality planning, mass-fatality incidents, and gunshot wounds. Dr. Hawes is licensed to practice medicine in Tennessee, Texas, and Mississippi.
